A natural diamond is carbon that sat under a continent for a billion years and came up in a volcanic pipe. We buy ours loose, from cutters we have met, and we will tell you where each one came from before you ask. Every stone leaves the studio with a passport naming origin, carat, cut grade, color, clarity, and any treatment.

Cut before anything. A well cut stone at G color will outperform a lazy stone at D every time, and it costs less. We look at each diamond loose on white paper, then on a hand, then under the bench lamp. If it goes flat in ordinary light we pass on it, whatever the certificate says.
What we will tell you
Where it was mined or where it was cut, what the grading lab said, what we think the lab got wrong, and what you are actually paying for. If a stone is priced low because it faces up gray, we will say so and price it accordingly.
